The Florida Institute of Technology (FIT) is a private research university located in Melbourne, Florida. FIT consists of six academic divisions with emphases on science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM), and aviation. Fit is the only independent technological university in the Southeast, and thus offers residents of Florida, who are interested in pursuing an education in STEM, a truly unique and valuable opportunity. FIT has received impressive accolades from countless ranking entities, but most notably was ranked a ‘Tier 1 Best National University' by U.S. News & World Report and was named one of the nation's top technological institutions in the Fiske Guide to Colleges.
